Tower and Ramparts

Watchtower of the village, it was part of the second wall of the Château des Blacas.

It is on this side that one can best get an idea of the fortified city (it remained so until the eve of the French Revolution since from
new fortifications were even erected after the massacre of the Wars of Religion). Thus, until the 18th century, Aups still had ramparts all around and about ten watchtowers closed and defended the village.
