Beautiful seigniorial building (or castle) probably from the 17th century.

On the ground floor were the utility rooms, such as the kitchen, the storerooms, the laundry room, the pyre...
On the first floor, the lord had his apartments.
And on the top floor, of course, were the servants' quarters.
After the entrance courtyard is the wash-house, supplied by the overflow from the fountain-water fountain next door.
Behind it were the former farm buildings such as the sheepfold, the attics, the hayloft, the henhouse, the stables...
At the end of the gardens is the dovecote or (dovecote on tower) which was reserved for the lords or the rich!
At that time, pigeons were bred for their droppings which were used as fertilizer, more than for their flesh, and as they damaged the crops, they were reserved for the rich.

This building is not open to the public. It is managed by the SIDEVAR:
The SIDEVAR (Syndicat Intercommunal pour le Développement des Vacances Rurales) was created by inter-prefectoral decree on January 6, 1969, under the impetus of Maurice JANETTI, Senator of the Var, the SIDEVAR (Syndicat Intercommunal pour le Développement des Vacances Rurales) is a union with a unique vocation of intermunicipal cooperation. It owes its existence to the will of the elected representatives of the rural communes of the Haut Var, also called "Les Pays du Verdon".
In 1980, on the initiative of René BAGARRE, Mayor at the time, the commune of Bauduen gave the SIDEVAR the "Le Château" building, in which the town hall and the local school were housed, on a long-term lease.
The SIDEVAR then undertook the rehabilitation of this building by giving birth to the family house "Le Château".
In 1982, André HENRY, Minister of Free Time came to inaugurate "this new tool of reception".
