Marechal Joffre place wash-house

Large covered wash-house of the commune whose construction was decided in 1850 and completed in 1852.

The stones of the curbstone, coming from the marble quarry of Aups, are polished by the numerous washerwomen who worked there.
The wooden bar was used to drain the linen. On the front part, the fountain is surmounted by a triangular pediment evoking the Trinity.
