Headstone in memory of the crew members who died on board of the Pelican 41 on March 8, 2004.


On the morning of March 8, 2004, canadair Pélican 41 crashed into the waters of the lake of Sainte Croix opposite the island of Costebelle, taking with it commanding officer Jean Beauvais and co-pilot Jean Pierre Laty. The second co-pilot David Tardity was rescued by the president of the local rowing club M Cometto. The rowing club has since moved to the commune of Aiguines.
