The fontain, waxh-houses and gardens

Moissac-Bellevue is a village without water. At the beginning of the 19th century, the municipal council of the time decided to prospect for a spring. The commune of Aups has several springs, one of which is practically on the border of the 2 communes. The spring is bought. To bring the water to the centre of the village of Moissac-Bellevue, there is 7km of canalisation through the forest. Once the water reaches the village, the municipality decides to build a "beautiful fountain". With this fountain follows the construction of two wash houses at the ends of the village. They are fed by the overflow from the fountain. The castle is also entitled to its own wash-house. And a system of canals is developed to supply the gardens.
